My Journey: From Teacher to Hypnotherapist
I taught for 12 years.
The kind who had everything prepped, stayed late, said yes to the extras.
Held it together all day — and unravelled most nights.
I wasn’t drinking to celebrate.
I was trying to take the edge off the thoughts I couldn’t switch off.
The dread. The depletion. The endless “just get through it.”
It looked like coping.
It felt like disappearing.
I told myself I’d stop when things calmed down.
They never did.
Eventually, I got help — and realised it wasn’t really about alcohol at all.
It was about what sat underneath.
I stayed in the classroom while I retrained in the same tools that helped me change.
Now I use them to help other women stop circling the same loop — and get their clarity back.

CBH gave me tools that worked
At first, I worked with people facing all kinds of challenges.
But over time, I noticed a pattern: women coming to me exhausted, stretched too thin, and quietly relying on alcohol to get through.
That’s when it clicked: this was the work I was meant to do.
The tools I’d trained in helped me break that cycle myself.
They gave me space to breathe.
To feel steadier.
To handle life in ways that actually worked — without turning on myself.
I got the right support, and that’s what helped me turn things around.
Now, I work with women facing the same struggles.
The best part of what I do?
Those quiet moments when something shifts —
and a woman realises she doesn’t have to live like this anymore.
That she can feel clear again.
That she can trust herself.
Our stories may be different.
But if any of this feels familiar, know this:
You don’t have to keep doing this on your own.
I’ve been there too.
